Why We Built This Site
Pennsylvania gives the public access to many court records, but Franklin County records are split by court level and office. The Court of Common Pleas handles the main trial-court docket. Magisterial District Courts handle traffic citations, summary offenses, preliminary arraignments, preliminary hearings, landlord-tenant matters, and small civil claims. The Prothonotary handles civil records, the Clerk of Courts handles criminal records, and Orphans' Court/Register and Recorder channels handle estates and related filings. The useful path starts with the record type, not just a name search.

- We cannot issue certified copies of any court document or vital record
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
